Pennzoil-Quaker State

Pennzoil-Quaker State recently sparked up a new look for their one-quart motor oil. The company called on Aqua Pak, a Canadian blow molder, to make the switch from their standard oil bottle to the new PET race-car shaped bottle.

The industry leader then teamed up with Dawsonville, GA, based SleeveCo, a manufacturer of shrink and stretch labels, to print the seven-color yellow and green race car labels.

The two labels are printed on high shrink PVC and were very difficult to print, according to Martin Wilson, Director of Sales and Marketing for SleeveCo.

“We had to deal with severe distortion factors and time constraints for Pennzoil-Quaker State, but we met the challenge head on and served as a complete packaging consultant for the company,” Wilson said.

Sporting Nascar numbers 1 and 24, Pennzoil-Quaker State will launch a product rollout in the United States and Canada in early November.
