Working Black Magic:  the industry’s first full-body shrink sleeve spray bottle

The Concept:
A full-body shrink sleeve for Pennzoil-Quaker State’s Black Magic auto care products to help the Black Magic line stand out from the competition. The company wanted a shrink sleeve so they could use all panels of the container for graphics and information.

The Challenge:
A full-body shrink sleeve label had never been applied to a trigger spray bottle. Several other companies had failed at perfecting the shrink of the label around the neck of the bottle due to film formulation and distortion issues.

The SleeveCo Solution:
SleeveCo developed a proprietary film that allowed our sleeve to shrink perfectly around the contours of the neck of the bottle – complete with graphics. This allowed Pennzoil-Quaker State to use the newly available side panels of the bottle for federally mandated product information, freeing up larger surfaces for marketing and cross-selling of other products.
